WSOP Random Observation #2: Devilfish – The Musical Maestro

June 4, 2010 by

Most recently, he was seen serenading two young ladies in the Rio corridors – the girls in question giggling as the British player strummed the guitar and sang to them.

What you might not be aware of is that a song was written about Dave Ulliott by musical whiz Matt Broughton not so long ago that became an internet sensation.

We’ve pulled it out of the archives and posted it for your enjoyment.

We know you’ll love it.

Across The Amazon: WSOP 2010 Snapshot

Event #5 – $1.5k No-Limit Hold’em

The players have played down to a final table already – multiple WSOP casher Yuval Bronshtein just missing out on a final table spot.

U.K. player Praz Bansi, who like November Niner James Akenhead is a member of the Hit Squad, has made the final table and is gunning for his second bracelet to add to the one he picked up in 2006 for winning the $1k No-Limit Hold’em tournament.

Event #7 – $2.5k 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball

The niche events are always a big draw for the big poker pros. They’re smart enough to know the fields will be smaller and they have a great shot at nailing a bracelet.

With all the bracelet bets floating around, it’s no surprise to see guys like Ted Forrest, Eli Elezra and Hoyt Corkins at the top of the leaderboard right now with 54 players left.

Event #8 – $1.5k No-Limit Hold’em

Another donkament is just 6 hours old but already the donkalicious 2.3k field has been streamlined to a more manageable 1.2k, with names like Phil Gordon and Brock Parker joining the reams of relative unknowns pouring out of the Rio exit.

Usually these tournaments throw up a new champion so expect us to be crowning a brand new WSOP bracelet holder in just a few days.
