WSOP Random Observation #6 – Poker with the Stars

June 9, 2010 by

Take a walk by the Pavilion Room, however, and you’ll see a whole bunch of spectators, writers and TV personnel crowded around Table #371 Red.

The $5k No-Limit Hold’em event started today in the Amazon Room, and early in Day 1 a dream table for spectators came together, right by the rail for everyone to get a look.

At last check we  had Phil Hellmuth, Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, David Williams and Shannon Elizabeth all at the same table.

Some of the tables right around the area are being broken up as we speak, so we don’t know how much longer it’s going to last.

We caught up to the table just as the TV cameras were catching Hellmuth telling a bad beat story, to no one in particular.

“He had kings,” Hellmuth was saying. “All the money in the pot. Blah Blah Blah.”

Hellmuth actually said the ‘Blah Blah Blah’ part, and although we missed most of the story, whatever it was had at least one player at the table cracking up.

Looks like we’ll have to wait for the TV coverage to hear the entire tale from Hellmuth.
